| Reception
Quality : Cable companies offer
2 types of channel lineups: analog and digital.
Analog signals are weaker and are generally of a poorer
quality than digital. Digital channels provide crystal
clear images and reception. One thing to note however, if you
upgrade to digital service, the analog channels will remain
analog even though you have digital equipment. Satellite
service is 100% Digital. Satellite TV beats Orlando Cable
TV... hands down!!! |
Adelphia charges entirely too much
money for their entertainment. Their commercials blast Dish
Network and make false claims. They refuse to compete with
the Dish Network and offer packages that have similar channels,
and a similar pricing. You can get a plan from the Dish
Network for $29.99 and get about 60 channels. If you pay
an extra $5 a month you can also get the DVR service. Adelphia
offers about 60 channels for their basic service for around
$48 a month in my area.....without the DVR! You can save
$13 a month with the Dish, and get more for your $$.

Why does DIRECT-TV keep jacking up
their prices? Ive been a customer for 5 years now and its
getting ridiculous now my Total Choice Plus package is $45.99
,last September it was $41.99. Anyone else want to gripe
to. Ive tried to talk with them but you get no real good
answer from the cutomer service.

Satellite
TV Keeps Growing: J.D.
Power and Associates 2005 Residential Cable/Satellite TV Satisfaction
Study finds that satellite TV service
continues to erode cable’s market share with the largest
increase in 2005. Satellite TV service has increased every
year for the past 10 years. This year, 27 percent of U.S. households
are subscribing to satellite TV —up from 19 percent in 2004
and 12 percent in 2000. Cable subscriptions continue their slide
down - decreasing from 62 percent in 2004 and 66 percent in the
year 2000. Currently, only 60 percent of households subscribe
to cable service. Satellite is taking business away from Orlando
Cable TV and other cable companies all over the country. Join
